Genevieve Murphy

GENEVIEVE brings together electronic, spoken word, rock, folk, jazz, and free improvisation in music that’s physical, direct, and alive. Built around Genevieve Murphy’s compositions, the band balances structure with risk, leaving space for spontaneity, noise, and unexpected turns on stage.

The group features Murphy alongside pianist Marta Warelis, guitarist Andy Moor, saxophonist John Dikeman, and drummer Henning Luther. Their performances move freely between genres with Murphy’s lyrics and physical presence threading through the ensemble. Each show is shaped by interaction—between musicians, sound, and audience—resulting in performances that feel immediate, immersive, and unpolished in the best sense.
